Unfortunately, accidents and deaths occur during travel. Should hotels, airlines, rent-a-car companies, and other travel suppliers require travelers to provide contact information of a non traveling third party in the event of an emergency?
Often, the establishment does not have a contact in the event of an emergency or death (to assist in notification and in the return of personal belongings).
I am suggesting that we strongly consider asking for this information on the registration card/electronic check in.
This information is already being collected in other countries by airlines and hotels.
