It is time to tighten up on valet parking procedures. There have been too many incidents of keys being left unattended and imposters in uniform taking off with the cars at the drop-off point.

While I am on the topic of valet, let’s also tighten up the service equation (Even though, it is usually provided by a 3rd party, poor valet service reflects poorly on your hotel or restaurant.).

Valet drivers need to be well-groomed, dressed professionally and have a sense of urgency about them. Well-groomed means no heavy scents or smoking (not just in the car but smoking at all), so that the smoke residue or scent will not be left in the car (see the Seinfield episode with BO from the Valet…we can learn a lot from Sein language).
